History & Information
Built in the 17th century, Tuxedo Junction is an authentic Provencal “mas” (farm) in the Luberon Valley, about an hour’s drive from the cities of Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, and Marseille. Located on a plateau just outside the tiny medieval village of Lacoste, the house sits on two acres of land that include fruit trees, oaks, lavender and a large swimming pool. It is constructed of the beautiful limestone of the area, has been completely renovated and updated, and is comfortably furnished with all modern conveniences. In addition to the living/dining room area framed by the original charming stone arch, there are 3 completely furnished bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 double bed, 1 twin with trundle), two full bathrooms (2 with showers, 1 with full tub), a spacious kitchen with new appliances (gas cooktop, electric oven), clothes washer, a small library and TV room, and a compact office space. Additional amenities include a CD player/radio, new flat screen TV and DVD player, high speed internet/WiFi, free worldwide phone access, and large/varied libraries of books and CD’s. There’s plenty of parking in the large driveway, and storage space in the garage. Meals and sunsets can be enjoyed on three different terraces, and there’s a “boulodrome” for those who wish to partake of the French national sport of petanque, weather permitting.
